The DHET is looking to fill 3 Registry Clerk positions (Ref No: DHET04/12/2024) with a salary of R216 417 per annum (level 05) at the Head Office in Pretoria.
The requirements for the Registry Clerk position include: an appropriate national senior Certificate (Vocational) or (NCV) Level 4 certificate. Previous experience in the office of the Minister or Deputy Minister would be an advantage. A minimum of one year experience in providing registry/administration support services. The ideal candidate should be proficient in MS Office and typing, and have good communication skills (verbal and written).
The Department of Higher Education: The duties for the Registry Clerk position include: managing the registry services, such as developing and maintaining a proper filing system, facilitating the disposal of documents, opening and closing files, and tracing and retrieving documents.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming submissions.
- Acknowledge and follow up on correspondence.
- Ensure efficient and effective document flow.
- Scan, sort, bind, and package documents.
- Facilitate archiving and disposal of documents.
- Prepare and record documents for submission to the Messenger.
- Conduct spot checks to ensure accurate document delivery.
- Ensure compliance with the classification of documents according to MISS.
- Promote compliance with the National Archives Act and MIS prescripts.
