ADMINISTRATION CLERK: TRUTH AND RECONCILIATION UNIT REF NO: 24/81/CD (X4 POSTS)

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the important work of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, which was established to address the legacy of apartheid and promote national healing and reconciliation.
SALARY: R216 417 – R254 928 per annum
The successful candidates will be offered a competitive salary package ranging from R216 417 to R254 928 per annum, commensurate with their qualifications and experience. In addition, the appointees will be required to sign a performance agreement, which will outline their key responsibilities and expected deliverables.
CENTRE: National Office; Pretoria
The positions will be based at the National Office of the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development, located in the vibrant city of Pretoria, the administrative capital of South Africa.
REQUIREMENTS:
The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development Applicants must possess a Grade 12 or equivalent qualification. Additionally, the ideal candidates should demonstrate the following skills and competencies:
- Computer literacy: Proficiency in using various software applications, such as Microsoft Office suite, to perform administrative tasks efficiently.
- Creative thinking: The ability to approach problems with a fresh perspective and develop innovative solutions.
- Customer service orientation: A strong focus on providing excellent service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Problem analysis: The capacity to identify and analyze issues, and develop appropriate strategies to address them.
- Self-management: Excellent time-management, organization, and self-discipline skills.
- Team membership: The ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a cohesive work environment.
- Technical proficiency: A solid understanding of administrative procedures and the ability to execute them accurately.
- Planning and organizing: Proficiency in prioritizing tasks, managing workloads, and ensuring timely completion of assignments.
- Communication skills (verbal and written): Effective communication skills to engage with stakeholders and convey information clearly.
DUTIES:
The successful candidates will be responsible for the following key performance areas:
- Rendering general clerical support services: This may include tasks such as filing, document management, data capturing, and providing administrative assistance to the team.
- Administering documents and validating data: Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of information related to the Truth and Reconciliation Unit’s operations.
- Engaging with stakeholders for verification and finalization of information: Liaising with relevant parties to gather, validate, and finalize the required data and documentation.
