โœ… Minimum Requirements

  • Education:
    • Grade 12 PLUS an LLB Degree (NQF 7), OR
    • A four-year legal qualification recognized by SAQA.
  • Experience:
    • At least 2 years legal experience after qualification.
    • Superior Court or litigation experience will be an advantage.
  • Other Requirements:
    • A valid driverโ€™s license.
    • Computer literacy.

โš–๏ธ Duties & Responsibilities

As a Registrar, you will be expected to:

  • Process default judgments to improve court efficiency.
  • Assess whether pleadings/processes comply with court rules.
  • Consider and grant applications for default judgment (Rule 31[5]).
  • Conduct taxations of bills of costs, hearing arguments and applying discretion.
  • Finalise opposed and unopposed taxations according to SOP.
  • Handle taxation reviews (Rule 48), drafting cases and submissions for the Judiciary.
  • Analyse statistical data to assess risks and trends.
  • Address Presidential Hotline queries and Chapter 9 institution enquiries.
  • Manage performance information and statistics for reporting purposes.
  • Provide supervision, mentoring, and development of staff.
  • Ensure proper oversight of employees.
