๐ฐ Salary: R324 579 โ R1 111 323 per annum (based on experience, OSD Resolution 1 of 2008)
๐ Contract Type: Permanent (performance agreement required)
โ Minimum Requirements
- Education:
- Grade 12 PLUS an LLB Degree (NQF 7), OR
- A four-year legal qualification recognized by SAQA.
- Experience:
- At least 2 years legal experience after qualification.
- Superior Court or litigation experience will be an advantage.
- Other Requirements:
- A valid driverโs license.
- Computer literacy.

โ๏ธ Duties & Responsibilities
As a Registrar, you will be expected to:
- Process default judgments to improve court efficiency.
- Assess whether pleadings/processes comply with court rules.
- Consider and grant applications for default judgment (Rule 31[5]).
- Conduct taxations of bills of costs, hearing arguments and applying discretion.
- Finalise opposed and unopposed taxations according to SOP.
- Handle taxation reviews (Rule 48), drafting cases and submissions for the Judiciary.
- Analyse statistical data to assess risks and trends.
- Address Presidential Hotline queries and Chapter 9 institution enquiries.
- Manage performance information and statistics for reporting purposes.
- Provide supervision, mentoring, and development of staff.
- Ensure proper oversight of employees.
