Who Can Apply?
To qualify for this bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must have completed Matric.
- Must be studying full-time towards a degree in one of the listed fields.
- Must be entering 2nd year, 3rd year, or Honours in 2026.
- Must be registered at one of these South African universities:
- University of Pretoria (UP)
- University of Johannesburg (UJ)
- University of the Witwatersrand (Wits)
- University of Cape Town (UCT)
- University of Limpopo (UL)
- University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN)
- University of the Free State (UFS)
- University of Fort Hare (UFH)
- Nelson Mandela University (NMU)
- North-West University (NWU)
- Must have achieved a minimum overall average of 70%.
- Household income must not exceed R650 000 per year.
- Must be from a previously disadvantaged background.
