Valterra Platinum’s Mototolo programme is seeking:

Electrician: 1 position

Boilermaker Plater: 1 position

Diesel Mechanic: 2 positions

Auto Electrician: 1 position

These roles are part of an 18.2 unemployed learnership programme and are based at Mototolo Mine.

The learnership provides training and work experience

Successful candidates will participate in a structured training programme that combines off-the-job and on-the-job training.

They will obtain the necessary skills and competencies in the specific engineering discipline.

The completion of the training programme leads to a nationally recognised artisan qualification, pending candidates’ performance in the training and assessment components of the programme.

Applicants must have completed Matric with the following subjects:

Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy)

Physical Science

English

Each subject must be passed at least 40% or higher

N2 or Higher

Applicants must have completed N2 or higher and must be in possession of the following subjects for the specialisation of their choice:

Plating and Structural Steelwork/Welders Theory

Plating, Structural and Steelwork Drawings

Mathematics

Engineering Science

Electrician

Electrical Trade Theory, Electrotechnology or Electrotechnics

Industrial Electronics or Engineering Drawings

Diesel Mechanic

Diesel/Motor Trade Theory

NCV Route

Applicants with NCV qualifications at Level 4 must apply with the relevant trade subjects, each of which must be passed at least 40%.

Valterra Platinum gives priority to applications from host communities. Therefore, individuals seeking learnership positions from host communities are requested to provide proof of residential documents with the stamp of authority from the host community tribal office or municipality upon submitting their applications.
